Completion of any of these prerequisite Certificates
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or;
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or;
- CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set
Must have a Federal Police Check under a year old
Must have a current NDIS Worker’s Screening (for work and work placement)
If working or completing work placement in an organisation that has children within Queensland, students will require a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
A Federal Police Check showing no criminal record

Certificate 3 Guarantee – Student Co-Contribution Fees
If you're enrolling in a qualification funded under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program, a small co-contribution fee applies as follows:
$8 for Concessional students $15 for Non-concessional students
You may be eligible for the concessional fee if you:
- Hold a current Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (or are listed as a partner or dependant on one)
- Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Have a disability (supported by a concession card or documentation)
- Are an adult prisoner (with formal confirmation from your place of incarceration)
Proof of eligibility can be provided as a clear photocopy, scan, or screenshot of your concession card or supporting documents.

Yes, the courses have assessments at the end of each unit. Students are required to complete and pass them before they can move to the next stage.
Yes, applicants are required to take a Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment as part of the application process.

To help make you job-ready, the Apex campus provides a simulated work environment that students could use to acquire hands-on training alongside 1:1 support sessions done online or face-to-face. We also expose you to the actual place environment through a mandatory work placement program.
Certificates are given out to all students that complete their course work. This includes in class assignments as well as placements. Upon completion, the trainers review all of the assigned work and placement workbooks and if they are satisfactory, a certificate is then issued within 3 weeks of completion.
You most certainly can. There are a number of things that can be done to reduce the amount of time and units you need to study, including:
- Recognition of prior learning - this process recognises previous work experience, previous formal and informal education among other things;
- Recognition of statements of attainments issued by other RTOs - known as credit transfers; and,
- Recognition of qualifications issued by other RTOs - also known as credit transfers.
